Collision with space objects
Actually 4.4 billion years ago the earth had collided with a space object of the same size as Mars. Before colliding the earth did not have any elements that could make life.
But after the collision, the earth gets important elements and elements of life such as Nitrogen, Carbon, and Sulfur (volatile elements). The collision of the earth with the space object even then makes the moon form its orbit.
According to Rajdeep Dasgupta, a scientist said that the origin of the earth was allegedly from combining proto-Earth with a planet the size of Mars so that it could produce three elements of life, namely nitrogen, carbon, and sulfur. That is the most likely thing why the earth can sustain life and finally we can live.
Meanwhile another scientist from Scripps Institution of Oceanography, James Day said that research is now underway to understand how this volatile element is on Mars. Will it be the same as the one on earth? Let's just wait for the results of the research.
